TLV Kips Bay Designer Show House Series: Chic in Palm Beach – The Designers Part 2
Welcome back to our coverage of the Kips Bay Decorator Show House in sunny Palm Beach, Florida. In our last installment, we brought readers along to check out the work seven acclaimed designers, each of whom took part in designing an area of a gorgeous 1920’s Mediterranean Revival estate. If you are just tuning into our coverage, the first and second installments can be found here and here.
All designers featured in this series have generously donated their energy and expertise to help raise funds for The Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, an organization that offers innovative after-school and enrichment programs for children and young people throughout the Bronx and across Palm Beach County.
Today, we will visit spaces designed by six visionary designers each with their own take on Palm Beach Chic.
Designing not one but two show stopping bathrooms, Nikki Levy doubles down on color in both her “Petal to the Metal” primary bathroom” and the “Happy You’re A-Round” upstairs hallway bathroom. The primary bathroom is punctuated by dichotomies abound. Design features are at once hard and soft, light and dark, curvaceous and linear. A deep emerald green used throughout the room contrasts beautifully with the gold tones of the Currey and Co. lighting and magnificent Kohler Plumbing hardware while the organic details of the Phillip Jefferies Haiku floral wallpaper is offset nicely by the geometric tiles.
In the upstairs space, an equally stunning look is executed in softer tones. The Artistic Tile’s Moon Cosmati Marble tile compliments the Phillip Jefferies Collage wallpaper to create a playful and modern space. A unique scalloped vanity counter is an inspired finishing touch.
